lyrics

No Room For A King (2001)

Travlin' down that dusty road
T'word Bethlehem
Just a woman, unborn child and a man
And I think we all know how
This story ends
They went to the inn,
And said, "Can we come in?"
He said, "Not tonight... we're full..."
No room for a King

In those days there was a king
Named Herod
Not too fond of any spotlight sharin'
Heard about that baby boy in Bethlehem
And sent for some men of wisdom
To come in
Cause in his heart he had
No room for a King

This life can get so full of other things
"No Vacancy" can be seen everywhere
So full that we can barely even breathe
But Jesus still wants a room
Can you hear Him knockin' on your door?

I want to make sure
There's room for a King
Move this stuff over
For more important things
I want to show You
I give you everything
Whoa - there's room for a King

Wakin' up at 7:30 once again
Though I don't need to be up till half past ten
Jumpin' up and quickly running
Through my head
The list of all the thing I need to do today
Tell me how will there be room for a King?

As we look around at all the Christmas things
Santa and his reindeer fill the songs we sing
All the bright lights and the paper glistening
We've got mistletoe and egg nog in our cups
Christmas shows, but there's
No room for a King

There's only one room in our heart
Made for the King of Kings
Let Jesus come on in
And make Him everything!
